We play back your stories
"Playback Theatre is a place where everyone can tell their story and be heard"- Jonathan Fox
This is a meeting place where people see and understand each other, where you can come as you truly are, share your individual, unique story which will be listened to with such attention that they will try to find a resonance within themselves, and based on that shared feeling, transform it into a stage performance.
During the performance, we invite audience members to share real stories from their life
We bring these stories to life on the spot through acting and live music
We play the story back to the teller — transforming it into a shared experience
Today the center operates in three directions:
Monthly improvisational performances based on audience stories — open and free
Basic and practitioner courses, for becoming a Playback Theatre actor
Exclusive performances, workshops and training programs for organizations
Today the center is home to 14 people from diverse professional backgrounds, united by Playback Theatre.

A practical seminar on listening, spontaneity, and teamwork skills
A customized program tailored to your organization's needs
We don't just perform — we teach. We're always looking for new people who want to become Playback Theatre actors.

Playback Theatre follows the ethical principles of CPT (Center for Playback Theatre):
We respect each person, their experience and their story.
We are open to any story. We strive to amplify voices that are often unheard in society.
We allow events to unfold naturally, without pre-planning or manipulation.
Our team continuously develops competence through learning, practice, and supervision.
We understand Playback Theatre's potential to promote social justice. We use art as an instrument of change.
We act with honesty and transparency. Our words and actions are consistent.
We recognize that stories told in performances cannot be kept fully confidential. However, we commit to retelling or describing them only with respect and care.
For me, Playback Theatre is a transition from big, structured and predetermined theatre to a small, authentic space built on human encounter, spontaneity and genuineness, where a person can be who they truly are.
It is in this human, living relationship that I see the main value of Playback Theatre.
